Flying to Iceland? It's important to know about the main airports, and how to transfer between them.
Icelandair passengers from Europe and North America land at Keflavík International Airport (KEF).
To fly to some destinations in Greenland* or domestically within Iceland, passengers must transfer from Keflavík to Reykjavík Domestic Airport (RKV) – a distance of 50km (31 miles).
* NOTE: From June 1, 2022, the following applies to Greenland flights:
Passengers must collect any checked bags from the baggage belt in Keflavík airport and take them to the domestic airport in Reykjavík to be rechecked in.
From Reykjavík Domestic Airport, close to downtown Reykjavík, we fly passengers to all the corners of the country. Read more about our destinations in Iceland.
