Earn Saga Points
Saga Club members earn Saga Points for all flown Icelandair flights, for onboard purchases as well as with our partners around the world. Members can register Saga Points for Icelandair flights as well as for products and services that offer Saga Points earning for up to 12 months back in time through My Account.

Icelandair Saga Club members earn both Saga Points and Tier Credits for all scheduled Icelandair flights. Members also earn Saga Points and Tier Credits while using their Saga Points with the Points and payment method when booking a flight.
Saga Silver members earn an extra 10% of Tier Credits, and Saga Gold members an extra 20%.

- Remember to register your Saga Club number when booking your flight to receive your Saga Points and Tier Credits.
- Saga Points and Tier Credits are registered to the member’s account within 48 hours of the flight’s completion.
- Members can register Saga Points for up to 12 months after the flight has been flown and can do so by signing into their Saga Club account here in the right-hand corner.
- When travelling on Icelandair flights with SK flight numbers (for example SK6150), Saga Club members do not earn Saga Points or Tier Credits. The same applies for flights with FI flight numbers on SAS schedule routes, (for example FI 756).
Members earn Saga Points and Tier Credits when purchasing products or refreshments on board Icelandair flights, through Saga Shop Collection and Saga Shop Kitchen. Just remember to present your Saga Card upon purchase.
You can easily explore the Saga Shop Collection at our Saga Shop website and order items for delivery on board. If you do not have a Saga Card you can apply for a new one on your Saga Club account, you can log into your account here in the right-hand corner.

- Saga Points and Tier Credits for your purchase will be registered to your account 3-5 days after your flight.
- You must show your Saga Card or refer your Saga Club number when purchasing onboard to earn Saga Points and Tier Credits.
- If Saga Points or Tier Credits are missing, please send us a copy of your receipt along with your Saga Club number and the Points or Tier Credits will be added to your account.
Saga Club members earn Saga Points when booking a hotel through Icelandair's hotel search that is empowered by Voyage. The hotel search offers hotels all over the world.

- Sign in with your Saga Club credentials and earn Saga Points

Saga Club members earn Saga Points when renting a car through Icelandair's car rental search empowered by Voyage. The car rental search offers car rentals all over the world.
It is that simple:
- Search for car rental all over the world
- Choose a car and fill in your information
- Sign in with your Saga Club credentials and earn Saga Points

Saga Club members earn Saga Points as well as Tier Credits for all domestic flights as well as for flights between Reykjavík and Greenland with Air Iceland Connect. Members earn the same amount of Saga Points and Tier Credits for each flight leg.
There are three fares at Air Iceland Connect that members can earn Saga Points and Tier Credits for:
- Light fare: 200 for each flight leg
- Classic fare: 500 for each flight leg
- Flexible fare: 1,000 for each flight leg
This is how you earn Saga Points for Air Iceland Connect flights:

- Enter your Saga Club number on the payment page
- You enjoy your flight and your Saga Points
- In addition, members earn Saga Points when booking hotels or cars through Air Iceland Connect.
- If your Saga Points are not registered to your Saga Club account within 48 hours of your flight completion, please contact Air Iceland Connect with your Saga Club number and booking details.
- Here below is information concerning Saga Points earning for flights flown before January 7, 2019 with Air Iceland Connect:
500 Saga Points for Flexible fare & 200 Saga Points for Classic fare
Saga Club members earn Saga Points and Tier Credits for Alaska Airlines flights. Alaska Airlines offers flights to multiple destinations in North America including Hawaii and Mexico. Members of Alaska Airline Mileage Plan earn both Bonus Miles and Elite Miles for Icelandair flights.

Please note that Saga Points are not earned on the following booking classes: A, D, E, N, O, W, X and Z.

Saga Club members earn both Saga Points and Tier Credits when flying JetBlue. Saga Silver members earn extra 10% of Tier Credits, and Saga Gold members an extra 20%.
TrueBlue members of JetBlue will earn TrueBlue points for Icelandair flights. No service benefits such as access to Lounges or upgrades for Elite members are part of the agreement.
In the online booking engine, there will be a drop-down list where the passenger will choose the airline that he wants to earn Points with.

Remember to register your Saga Club number when booking your flight to receive Saga Points and Tier Credits.
Please note that no Saga Points or Tier Credits are earned on the following booking classes on JetBlue: X, T, N, ZCERT.
Saga Points and Tier Credits are registered to the member´s account within two weeks of the flight´s completion.
If you do not receive your Saga Points then your Saga Club number was most likely not registered in your JetBlue booking. It is possible to register Saga Points 12 months back in time. To do so you need to send a copy of your flight ticket along with your Saga Club number to us at Icelandair.
Saga Club members earn 600 Saga Points for each night spent at Icelandair Hotels. There are eight Icelandair hotels around Iceland. To earn Saga Points members must have a hotel booking in their name and stay at the hotel themselves.
This is how you earn Saga Points for your stay:
- Make a hotel booking in your name on icelandairhotels.com
- Enter your Saga Club number in the booking
- Stay at Icelandair hotels and enjoy your Saga Points
If you forget to enter your Saga Club number in the booking you can do it at check in.
Should your points not register on your account please drop us a line and send a copy of the hotel invoice and your Saga Club number. It might take up to 60 days for Saga Points to be registered.
Saga Club members earn 600 Saga Points for each night spent at Hotel Edda. To earn Saga Points members must have a hotel booking in their name and stay at the hotel themselves.

- Enter your Saga Club number in the booking
- Stay at Hotel Edda and enjoy your Saga Points
Should your points not register on your account please drop us a line send a copy of the hotel invoice and your Saga Club number, it might take up to 60 days for Saga Points to be registered.
Saga Club members earn Saga Points even faster with the Icelandair MasterCard®, members earn Points for all their First Bankcard´s Co-branded Icelandair MasterCard®. Members can double the number of Saga Points when using the card for Icelandair products such as airlines tickets or on board purchases.
Members also earn 10,000 Saga Points with their first purchase on the card and there are no foreign transactions fees the the card.

Saga Club members earn Saga Points when booking a hotel on Icelandair Hotel Search powered by Booking.com.
For every 1 EUR you pay for a hotel you earn 2 Saga Points, your Points will be registered to your account within 60 days.

For every 1 EUR you pay for a rental car you earn 2 Saga Points, your Points will be registered to your account within 60 days.

Saga Points are earned for each car rental are calculated in EUR and are therefore based on the car rental price in EUR.
Saga Club member earn Saga Points every time they rent a car with Hertz worldwide, member earn either 1,000 or 2,000 Saga Points, depends on the size of the car.
To rent a car and earn Points all you have to do is:
- Make a reservation on Hertz.com
- Put your Saga Club number in the booking
Service fee for each booking is 3.600 ISK in Icelandair Service Center.
If you do not receive your Saga Points within 30 days after your rental period please drop us a line with a copy of your rental agreement and your Saga Club number.
Please note that it might take up to 60 days for you Saga Points to be registered.
It is possible to register Saga Points 12 months back in time.
Saga Club members earn Saga Points at Sixt Rent a Car and welcome members at 4,000 service stations in over 100 countries worldwide with the world's largest BMW and Mercedes-Benz fleet, the latest models of the top car makes, sports cars, convertibles, jeeps and trucks. Members earn 500 Saga Points for every rental with Sixt rent a car and 1.000 Saga Points with every transfer with Sixt limousine service.
This is how you earn Saga Points at Sixt:
- Rent a car through Sixt rent a car
- Make sure to put in your Saga Club number in the booking process on the third step: Driver details page
- Your Saga Club number can be added under Further information where you choose:
"I would like to enter a loyalty program number"
Certain rates may be excluded from Points earning.
Please present your Saga Club Card at the Sixt rental location. No manual tracking can be accepted. No retroactive registration can be accepted.
Do even more with your Saga Points at Points.com.
Saga Club members can use their Saga Points for a Gift Certificate with major retailers like Target or Amazon at Points.com.
Members can also add Points to their Saga Club account by transferring points or miles from other award programs, e.g. JetBlue.

Icelandair Saga Club members earn Saga Points when booking activities through Icelandair activity search by GetYourGuide.
For every 1 EUR you pay you earn 2 Saga Points that will be registered to your Saga Club account.

If the Saga Points are not registered to your Saga Club account within 60 days after you have completed your trip or activity, please drop us a line with your receipt and a booking number.
Gray Line Iceland operates Airport Express offering shuttle service between Keflavik Airport and Reykjavík.
Members earn 200 Saga Points for a bus trip to or from the airport if a ticket is booked online via Airport Express. A one-way ticket costs 3.000 ISK/person and a return ticket costs 5.900 ISK/person.
Members do not earn Saga Points if their tickets are booked by other means or not booked in advance.

The partnership between Finnair and Icelandair Saga Club ended on August 13th, 2019. Therefore, Saga Club members will not be able to earn Saga Points with Finnair from that day.
Members will still be able to register Saga Points for Finnair flights, flown in the 12 months prior to the 13th of August, 2019.
